After moving into a new house, and driving more than ever, my truck’s fuel economy wasn’t cutting it. I don’t really use my truck as a truck anymore, so I decided to trade it in. I now own a 2018 Volkswagen Golf GTI SE.

What shall I name her?

That’s a distinct possibility. It’s running... okay right now, so I haven’t done a scan since early August.

Because I wanted to find the names of the members of Das Sound Machine from Pitch Perfect 2 and 3, scrolling through the cast saw Rebel Wilson and want “aha!” I call this kind of progression the wikipedia effect.

It looks great in pure white. What spec do you have? Mine is an SE with leather and the 6mt.

SE, leather, DSG. I wanted blue, but the white one had the leather package and was $1000 cheaper, so why not. I really wanted a stick again (my Mk4 Jetta was manual), but I drive a lot of stop and go, and I have been enamored with the shift speed of the DSG since I first discovered it. Also I plan on doing an ECU tune eventually and I’ve heard too many bad things about the stock clutch not being able to handle the power after a tune, so to save myself money and headache I went with the DSG.
